Micro Perception In-Depth (MPID)
Micro Perception In-Depth (MPID) applies palpation method to detect the morphological changes of human body and leads one into the ancient perspective of detailed analysis of Chinese medicine four diagnostic methods. With this, MPID guides and differentiates the indications of Chinese medicine modality namely manipulation, acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal prescription and so on to enhance the efficacy of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
MPID Course 微观辨识课程
MPID Course, is a key that leads one into the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine through palpation.
The philosophical way of understanding Chinese Medicine might be time-consuming and less effective. Hence, Dr. Tham Hui Saan aspires to lead us to integrate past and present knowledge, from the understanding of convergence and coherence of body structure along with qi and blood. This integrative knowledge exceeds the boundaries of anatomy, transcends beyond the theory of qi and blood, and is unrestricted at imagery. Under MPID, Chinese Medicine theory will be presented in clear demonstrations of facts. MPID is the conduct of substantive observation on human body morphological changes, traditionally known as “inner view” or “penetrating view”.

The development of Micro Perception In-Depth (MPID)
Nowadays industry insiders have the impression that current Chinese Medicine institution graduates lack of clinical skills training, whereby apprenticeship teaching emerges as time requires. However, the current apprenticeship teaching method only occurs in clinical clerkship settings, while systematic guidance and assessment is deficient. With thorough consideration of the above matters, MPID’s founder Dr. Tham developed this systematic clinical education program.
Recently, there are three major trends in Chinese medicine treatment,
Treatment modality that advocates muscular, nerve signal transmission and other theories as guidance, easily gives rise to a confined understanding of Chinese Medicine through Western Medicine view. Yet, the true understanding of Chinese Medicine towards body structure is neglected.
Treatment modality that solely based on Chinese medicine philosophy theories. Due to the broad, complex and versatile Chinese medicine theroy, this treatment modality might easily leads to inaccuracy as there is no precise guideline for treatment. This phenomenon is commonly seen on practitioners who did not have much clinical experiences.
Treatment modality that according to sensory ability. We believe that the cultivation of sensory ability without compatible knowledge for analysis and differentiation will easily cause the subjective perception of human physiological phenomenon.
Also, if one could not analyze the information collected through sensory system, the treatment conducted might not be effective. What makes it even worse is that if one focuses on pursuing anomalies, hallucinations could happen.
Chinese Medicine is a clinical medical practise, whereby its main objective is to cure and save lives. In regard to the trends mentioned above, Dr. Tham uses an impartial perspective to retain the essence within while discarding the impractical concepts. The body structural theory of Chinese Medicine is the basis of understanding the human body whereas the philosophical theory of Chinese Medicine is the formula of treatment. Upholding the Chinese Medicine spirit of root cause analysis, through easily comprehensible methods, Dr. Tham established MPID in order to advance Chinese Medicine clinical competency.
